Bob’s House of Hope/Ranch Hands Rescue: A Program Evaluation for Adult Male Human Trafficking Survivors

Thu, Nov 14, 3:30 to 4:50pm, Sierra H - 5th Level

Abstract

Although the U.S. Congress passed the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) in 2000, it has never been adequately funded and victims continue to be underserved. In particular, since the majority of identified victims are women and girls, little attention has been given to the needs of boys and men who are victims of trafficking. To our knowledge, the only long-term residential program for adult male victims in the U.S. is Bob’s House of Hope/Ranch Hands Rescue, which began offering residential care in 2021. At their request, we conducted a program evaluation to determine the impact of their program and whether it could be recommended as a model for serving adult male trafficking victims.
