Considerations for Success: How Factors of Case Management Influence Outcomes for Human Trafficking Survivors

Wed, Nov 13, 2:00 to 3:20pm, Salon 6 - Lower B2 Level

Abstract

Previous literature has shown that a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed approach to treatment has been successful in identifying the needs and enhancing the quality of life of survivors of human trafficking. Using the program evaluation results, the current presentation will evaluate the mechanisms of case management across successful, unsuccessful, and terminated case file groups. Such as within- and across-group comparisons of case management time spent (in minutes), average contact time, types of contact (e.g., face-to-face), the reason for contact, and who initiated the contact. Data can improve short- and long-term service provision and guide practitioners' decisions on whether to continue to offer or omit specific external services. Additionally, practitioners may use the results to make data-based decisions for allocating resources (e.g., case management, time spent).
