Purpose: Capturing accurate data related to the prevalence of cybercrime is imperative. There are challenges, however, when there are not clear conceptualizations or operationalizations of behaviors. In this study we assess how cyberbullying and cyberharassment are measured in existing literature to determine if these are two separate and distinct constructs.
Design: The current study uses a systematic review strategy to review how cyberbullying and cyberharassment are reviewed in the existing literature.
Interpretations/Conclusions: The findings suggest that scholars need to revisit these terms to ensure that the field is accurately measuring these growing phenomena.
