Political Influences On The Criminal Justice System: Views on Voting

Abstract

The research conducted in this study aims to link voter knowledge and participation to the criminal justice system, with specific awareness to convicted voters, as well as public knowledge of political involvement after societal re-entry. Some topics of the study include public perceptions on voting, general voter knowledge as it pertains to policies and daily impacts, as well as the likelihood of restoring voting rights for convicted felons, and how their voice could have impacted recent elections and political hot topics.
