Prior research suggests there are individual and situational differences between mass shooting offenders who are arrested on scene versus killed by police or died by suicide on scene. Using a comprehensive database of deadly mass shooting incidents, the current study examines various individual, victim, and incident level predictors of mass shooting outcomes and whether predictors vary based on location type. Results and policy implications are discussed.
