• In Event: Landscape Analyses of Criminal Legal Systems: Data, Disparities, and Reform

Abstract

In 2023, The JFA Institute completed and issued a comprehensive state criminal justice landscape report meant to serve as an almanac of key criminal justice system indicators for the State of Colorado. The report also highlighted areas where more in-depth research can be done to expand the understanding on how demographics, socio-economic factors, and racial inequities can influence an individual’s involvement in the Colorado justice system. The JFA report combined not only point- in-time statistics but also COVID impacts on the justice system and longer-term trends in each of the key indicators.
