This paper investigates the regulatory landscape and reform efforts surrounding cannabis use in Taiwan, with a specific focus on its impact within the entertainment scene. Despite global trends towards legalization, Taiwan maintains strict laws criminalizing cannabis, presenting challenges and opportunities for reform. Through qualitative analysis of legal documents, media sources, and cultural narratives, this study explores the historical context and societal perceptions of cannabis within Taiwan's entertainment industry. It examines the factors influencing Taiwan's stance on cannabis, including public health concerns, international pressure, and cultural attitudes. In addition, the paper delves into emerging discussions and advocacy for cannabis reform, considering potential shifts in policy and their implications for the entertainment sector. By examining Taiwan's approach to cannabis regulation within the context of its entertainment industry, this paper contributes to the understanding of drug policy dynamics in East Asia and highlights the intersection of cultural, legal, and societal factors in shaping attitudes towards cannabis use.
