Impact of COVID-19 on Help-Seeking Behavior by Rural Survivors of IPV

Wed, Nov 13, 5:00 to 6:20pm, Salon 10 - Lower B2 Level

Abstract

This article interrogates the effects of COVID-19 in a rural community by triangulating data from law enforcement and a center for victims of crime with interviews of the social services providers. This project uses a longitudinal approach to examine trends of survivors of intimate partner violence reaching out for help from law enforcement and social services providers, as well as qualitative data from interviews with social services providers.
