Among other social problems (e.g., immigration, substance abuse), prostitution has gained traction in the eyes of reformers throughout the twentieth century and there are a growing number of prostitution courts in the United States. Despite the increase in prostitution courts, there is little research regarding public perception of their effectiveness. This gap inspired the current study which will evaluate public opinion of prostitution courts. Additionally, this study will explore the general level of support for this type of programming through a content analysis. Findings from this study will provide context for future community involvement in the administration of prostitution courts.
