Thu, Nov 14, 7:30 to 8:30pm, Golden Gate A+B - B2 Level

Abstract

Background: One of the serious problems in the United States is juvenile justice, and examining published scientific research will help us understand the problems better. Objective: This current study proposes to identify juvenile justice research publications in major international criminal justice and juvenile justice journals published in the US. Methods: Peer-reviewed academic juvenile justice-related research articles published between 2011 and 2023 will be included in this study. The published research articles from the top-ranked criminal and juvenile justice journals will be systematically searched, and the contents of the articles will be collected using the content analysis method through DistillerSR literature review software. Expected Results: This research will look at crime and delinquency patterns, theory developments, different types of victimization, crime prevention methods and policies, criminal and juvenile justice law, and juvenile justice administration in the United States. Furthermore, the study's findings will propose under-studied juvenile justice problems, methodological and research design advancements, and insights into juvenile-related topics for future studies.
