Drawing upon a thorough search and analysis of scholarly literature, this review synthesizes findings from empirical studies. Key areas explored include the prevalence and diversity of correctional services targeting parenting needs within prison settings, ranging from visitation programs to parenting education initiatives. Moreover, this review investigates the effectiveness of these services in promoting positive outcomes for incarcerated parents, such as improved parenting skills, enhanced family relationships, and reduced recidivism rates.
