These prior studies have not fully explored the relationship between school quality (as measured by facility funding) and the perception of the individual student. This research examined the perceptions of persons incarcerated in a regional detention facility and compared them to non-incarcerated persons from the same schools to determine the relative importance of funding on the perception of school quality.
