Environmental pollution is a serious concern that becomes worse with each passing year. This issue has a serious impact on health, and although its effects on physical health are well-researched, the implications for behavior, especially in relation to violent behavior, are lacking. Research suggests that various types of pollutants lead to changes in behavior, such as increased impulsivity or aggression, which often result in violent crimes, particularly in areas prone to pollution. With this in mind, a longitudinal study design was utilized to analyze the effects of water and air pollution in four cities in the United States. The study aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between pollution and violent crime. The findings of the study will help inform policy decisions and contribute to the growing body of literature on environmental factors and their relationship with crime. Additionally, it will highlight the importance of addressing pollution while promoting public health and safety.
