Thu, Nov 14, 5:00 to 6:20pm, Salon 7 - Lower B2 Level - Area 2

Abstract

The session will explore the reflections of peer mentors in a criminology and justice studies department examining their insights into the mentoring process, including successful strategies and challenges encountered. Emphasis will be placed on the peer mentors’ firsthand experiences, detailing what approaches facilitated effective mentorship and which aspects were less effective. The discussion will highlight practical examples of mentor-mentee interactions, the impact of these relationships on both parties, and the overall contribution to the educational experience of new students in the department.
