The research examining the connection between sibling relationships and antisocial behavior has predominantly emphasized the quality of interaction between siblings as an indicator of their subsequent likelihood of engaging in antisocial behavior. The literature also focuses on the extent to which siblings receive or give support to each other. What the literature has not explored much is the potential for the relationship between sibling relationship quality and antisocial behavior to be conditioned by the pre-existing relationship between parent and child. Subsequently, this research study will explore the extent to which parental attachment as rated by child conditions the connection between sibling relationship quality and antisocial behavior by examining this relationship from a social bonds perspective.
