Abstract

Although Japan has a lower crime rate than the U.S., there exists a crime-fear paradox. we examined the change of the determinants of communication fraud and cybercrime victimization and public safety perception, using repeated cross-sectional questionnaire data measured in five waves of Japanese Internet monitors.
