Utilizing a qualitative approach, we conducted in-depth, anonymous interviews with gun traffickers, aiming to understand their motivations, operational strategies, and perceptions of risk. The findings provide a nuanced perspective on the factors driving this underground market, including economic incentives, technological advantages of the darkweb, and the contexts influencing their activities. These insights contribute to a broader understanding of the mechanisms and dynamics of gun trafficking on the darkweb, offering valuable implications for policymakers and law enforcement agencies. By illuminating the experiences and practices of gun traffickers, this research underscores the need for innovative strategies to combat online illicit trade while respecting privacy and ethical considerations.
