Abstract/Description

This thematic panel addresses several dimensions of life sentences. One paper looks at public opinion on the use of life sentences against emerging adults, by specifically analyzing survey responses from the same population. Another presentation reviews the extent to which the U.S. still relies on life sentences. Another examines whether the international criminal court is leaning towards the use of life sentences for grave crimes. Finally, a paper looks at the use of life sentences for human trafficking crimes.
