Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
This panel showcases a BJA Smart Policing Initiative (SPI) involving place-based interventions to reduce crime. The panel features research from three SPI jurisdictions – Dallas (TX), Hamilton County (OH), and Anniston (AL). Each site experienced different crime problems and implemented place-based approaches tailored to their environment, including hot spot policing and Place Network Investigations. Presentations will highlight process and outcome evaluations conducted by research partners affiliated with the SPI program.
