This panel explores the interplay of emotions and ethical considerations in criminal decision-making, leveraging immersive technologies. Through various investigations, we examine how emotions such as anger and fear influence risk assessment and moral reasoning in criminal contexts. Utilizing virtual reality, these studies shed light on the dynamic relationship between emotions, situational assessments, and decision-making processes. Additionally, this work investigates the role of visual attention in virtual confrontations, providing novel insights into crime decision-making. Collectively, these inquiries advance our understanding of criminal behavior, advocating for the integration of emotional theories and immersive technologies in criminological research.
