Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
This panel features cutting edge scholarship, led by early career researchers, on understudied topics in corrections. Empirical research will be presented on (1) issues of prison wages and their inequitable distribution across state systems, (2) the mental health of incarcerated foreign-born persons in state prison, (3) the "victim-offender overlap" behind bars and its variation between incarcerated men and women, and (4) the visitation experiences of incarcerated teen parents.
