Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
This session highlights research that assesses service provision for underserved human trafficking populations and public responses. This panel features research on transgender youth, male youth, and adult males. The first paper explores the relationship between the gender of sex trafficking victims and the consequent impact on the public’s willingness to engage in anti-trafficking initiatives, the second paper explores risk factors, identifies critical needs, and assesses available services for transgender youth, the third assesses an adult male program to determine replicability and impact. Taken together, this research builds upon existing public policy and trafficking scholarship, offering new insights for policymakers, activists, and advocates seeking to mobilize communities to respond to anti-trafficking efforts.
