Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
The search for what works in criminal justice practice continues to be a major area of focus for the field. This session will explore this theme through presenting findings from work focusing on the topics of risk assessment (i.e., identification of risk of violent recidivism), social support in re-entry, community-based facility adherence to evidence-based practices, and the effectiveness of two community-based residential program models at reducing recidivism (i.e., Halfway Houses and Community-Based Correctional Facilities). Implications of the findings for the field will be discussed.
