Quality and informative conversations play an important role in shaping the outcomes of criminal legal proceedings, especially for defendants navigating pretrial and case decisions. In the complex landscape of the criminal legal system, where stakes are high and decisions are consequential, the impact of such conversations cannot be overstated. In this session, presenters will discuss research projects aimed at promising strategies and models to better inform and engage individuals going through the criminal legal system with respect to plea bargains, trial options, and other potential outcomes.
