Abstract/Description

This panel offers a diverse examination of LGBTQIA2S+ folx within the criminal justice system. Through three distinct papers, the panel explores various aspects of justice involvement, shedding light on the challenges and dynamics faced by this marginalized population. Topics include the vulnerabilities and support needs of missing LGBTQ+ youth, interactions between formerly incarcerated LGBTQ+ individuals and correctional staff, and the complexities of police interactions among LGB individuals.
