Abstract/Description

Jerry Skolnick was a prolific scholar. To honor his legacy, this group of Skolnick’s students and colleagues will discuss his many books and articles, relating their main themes to contemporary issues. Justice Without Trial is perhaps the most well-known, but insights from The Politics of Protest and Above the Law – as well as edited volumes and dozens of scholarly articles – contain a continuing critique of state power in a democratic society.
