Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss: (1) the annual conference as a unique opportunity that brings together social justice-oriented scholars, students, and professionals from around the globe; and (2) the importance of harnessing a small amount of our conference time and energy to provide service to the communities we visit. During the roundtable we will discuss the criminalization of homelessness, access to housing within the local context, and introduce the service event that will accompany this roundtable. During the roundtable we will also reserve some time at the end for a brainstorming/planning session for hosting a similar roundtable and event at the 2025 conference.
