Roundtable: Identifying and Understanding Women’s Pathways to Prison

Abstract/Description

Review and discuss the challenges of studying women's pathways to incarceration. Topics will include (1) incorporating explanatory theories into pathway identification, with a focus on theory integration issues; (2) unresolved questions such as the number of pathways, including search space considerations, and the hierarchical nature of pathways; and (3) Person-Centered vs. Variable-Centered regression approaches.
