Roundtable: Navigating Grad School and the Job Market as Queer Criminologists

Abstract/Description

Please join us for a roundtable on experiences in graduate school programs and on the job market. We are hoping for a wide-ranging discussion on topics including decisions about coming out as queer in professional environments; responding to microaggressions, administrative obstacles, and institutional queerphobia; finding support networks; and positioning oneself publicly as a queer person and/or queer scholar. We welcome queer criminologists at all career stages, including current students, as well as those who work in both academic and non-academic positions.
