Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
This roundtable takes a comprehensive and critical approach toward the work of Pycroft and Bartollas in their book Redemptive Criminology. Each participant provides an in-depth analysis of specific sections of the book from various theoretical and philosophical perspectives. The roundtable seeks to create space for discourse regarding issues of redemption, forgiveness, and actualization. While Pycroft and Bartollas emphasize the theological or spiritual aspects of redemption, the roundtable participants offer insights rooted in clinical or applied experiences throughout the criminal justice system.
