Specifically, this panel will discuss the unique challenges and opportunities encountered by early 21st century criminologists across different professional pathways, academic pursuits, and disciplinary intersections. Participants will reflect on their personal and professional trajectories, identifying pivotal moments, transformative experiences, and key lessons learned throughout their careers. Moreover, this discussion will critically examine the evolving landscape of crime and justice, contextualizing the challenges faced by contemporary criminologists within broader socio-political contexts.
