Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
Traditional pedagogy practice has focused on research delivery through critical thinking within the academy. Nevertheless, contemporary academic learning intersects with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and several Machine Learning (ML) tools. The opportunities for AI/ML to advance knowledge have created mixed perspectives on using and applying these learning tools. This roundtable will discuss the intersection between ML, AI, and the applicability of research on crime, policy, and best practices, especially in HBCUs. It will also examine academic ethics in pedagogy supported by AI/ML tools. A framework for future educational policy resolution and reconciliation will also suggested.
