Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
International Police Executive Symposium (IPES) advocates that Policing is a moral profession. It should be a vehicle for upholding universal Human Rights norms, safeguarding the vulnerable segments of society, and contributing to a better quality of life. The avenues IPES has chosen and practiced to achieve this mission include a global annual meeting between police researchers and practitioners, publication of a book following the meeting with the papers presented, publishing books in a Series called Advances in Police Theory and Practice, and participation. In the relevant meetings at the United Nations in New York, Vienna, and Geneva. We are seeking ideas as to how to strengthen this mission.
