This Roundtable discussion will explore how subjective perceptions shape individual encounters within communities marginalized at the intersection of race and class. Through applying various theoretical frameworks, the presenters will examine how experiences shape perception, interaction, and victimization in policing, court processes, school and neighborhood violence, and gentrification.
