Abstract/Description

Major tourist destinations rely heavily on visitors for economic stability and growth. The Tourist Safety Institute (TSI) at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, established in 2023, works to enhance safety and security in the tourism industry. Using Las Vegas as an example, faculty associated with the TSI explore tourist safety concerns related to major event planning, crowd management, criminal activity, and perceptions of safety.
