Abstract/Description

Gender-based violence encompasses a wide range of behaviors and experiences that are rooted in gender inequality and power dynamics, making it a crucial yet challenging area of study. This roundtable will explore gender-based research in various domains, going beyond interpersonal gender-based violence to encompass gender-based violence implicated by state and local governments. It will also examine how different institutions address gender-based violence and the reintegration experiences of individuals who have perpetrated acts of gender-based violence. Participants will explore diverse research approaches, discuss overcoming challenges like ethical considerations, and share impactful findings for policy and practice. By collaborating, attendees contribute to a deeper understanding of gender-based violence and effective prevention.
