The Connection of Organizational Trust with Strain-Based Conflict Among Southern U.S. Prison Staff

Wed, Nov 12, 11:00am to 12:20pm, Marquis Salon 1 - M2

Abstract

Strain-based conflict is when work issues follow a person home and result in conflict in the home domain. Organizational trust is important for prison staff. Low or missing organization trust may cause frustration among prison staff and this frustration may follow a person home, raising the level of strain-based conflict. The current study used data from staff working at a large high security prison in the U.S. south to examine how organizational trust is related to strain-based conflict. The results will be presented and discussed.
