Correctional Education and Reentry: An Overview of Crime Solutions Rated Programs

Abstract

Correctional education is a core component of reentry programming. In 2023, researchers at the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) completed a review of programs rated in CrimeSolutions, NIJ’s repository of criminal justice evaluation research, that either focus on education exclusively or contain key educational components. This presentation will detail those findings and provide information on trends, challenges, and recommendations for future research.
