Thu, Nov 13, 5:00 to 6:20pm, Marquis Salon 2 - M2

Abstract

Persons convicted of capital crimes are condemned to die, and that is a central fact of their existence. They are also condemned to years of confinement on death row, where they must forge a daily round of life for the duration of their sentences, which can run into decades. This article focuses on lived experience of death row confinement as prisoners forge a life in the shadow of executions.
