Thu, Nov 13, 9:30 to 10:50am, Liberty Salon N - M4

Abstract

This session will introduce the existing contexts and impacts of public policy and public administration on deaf people, including discussion of resulting disparities from a systematic perspective. Language deprivation, education outcomes, employment outcomes, and interactions with street-level bureaucrats will be discussed, providing participants with a systematic, contextual view on how deaf people interface with public administration and public policy systems.
