Abstract

The NPDWS case weights are just one component of the public defense workload equation. This presentation will cover the practical considerations involved in implementing a workload model such as NPDWS, including counting cases, handling non-case-specific time, constructing and using relative case weights, and applying the model to individual attorney caseloads.
