What Works in Victim Services: Evidence-Based Strategies

• In Event: Evidence Adoption in Community-Facing Agencies: Preparing Community Supervision and Victim Services to Implement Evidence-Based Practices

Abstract

To study evidence adoption among victim services agencies, we collaborated with the National Center for Victims of Crime to identify victim services evidence-based practices, compiling a novel training and coaching package to address violence, trauma, and harm. In this presentation, we discuss how we identified an approach that most agencies would welcome and which has a base of evidence supporting its efficacy. We also highlight the underlying theory behind this approach and how we will educate and coach agencies on its use, including opportunities to sign up for free training.
