The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) allows researchers to disaggregate victims of single and repeat victimization. This presentation examines annual prevalence rates of nonfatal violent crime for persons age 12 or older and property crime for households who experienced a single or repeat victimization. The characteristics of single and repeat violent crime victims are described, along with types of crime experienced and relationships between victim and offender during the aggregate period 2019-2023. Select statistics on property crime are also presented.
