Fri, Nov 14, 9:30 to 10:50am, Marquis Salon 14 - M2

Abstract

In response to the need for more comprehensive data on the victim services field in the United States, the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) developed the Victim Services Statistical Research Program (VSSRP) to build knowledge in this area. Two key components of the VSSRP are the National Census of Victim Service Providers (NCVSP) and the National Survey of Victim Service Providers (NSVSP), establishment surveys of victim service providers (VSPs) in the United States. This presentation will summarize recently released findings from the 2023 NCVSP and discuss the work that is currently in progress for the upcoming 2026 NSVSP.
