This presentation emphasizes the critical role of agency-scholar partnerships in enhancing the effectiveness of community corrections programs. The University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) and the Indiana Department of Correction exemplify this collaborative effort by utilizing the Correctional Program Checklist - Community Supervision Agency (CPC-CSA) to evaluate 76 community corrections programs. The CPC-CSA offers a structured framework for assessing program fidelity to the principles of effective interventions, including risk, need, and responsivity. By fostering collaboration between community corrections agencies and researchers, a continuous feedback loop is created that improves program effectiveness. Lessons learned from establishing and maintaining the partnership during Phase I of the project will be presented.
