Lessons Learned: Enhancing Pretrial Services Through Workload Analysis and Implementation

Abstract

This presentation provides a "lessons learned" analysis from collaborating with a Pretrial Services agency in Colorado to assess workload distribution and policy implementation. Drawing from the findings of a 2022 pretrial services workload Study, this session will highlight key accomplishments, including the refinement of staffing allocation, the impact of risk assessment updates, and the integration of evidence-based practices to enhance pretrial supervision. This study evaluates the effectiveness of operational changes and offers recommendations for improving pretrial services efficiency. Findings include insights into methodological approaches, stakeholder collaboration, and the practical implications of workload analysis in pretrial settings.
