This study examines the effectiveness of Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) procedures at the University of Northern Colorado (U.N.C.) through interviews and observations of current practices. By engaging key stakeholders, including members of the university’s threat assessment team, administrators, and campus safety personnel, this research identifies strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement in current protocols. The study assesses how interdepartmental communication and collaboration impact the effectiveness of threat management and explores strategies to enhance coordination and policy implementation. Findings will provide evidence-based recommendations to refine UNC’s threat assessment procedures, contributing to improved campus safety and informing best practices in university threat management.
