Effectively bringing college and career preparation into juvenile centers

Abstract

How are juvenile center administration, campus administration, and intermediary agencies that support youth wellbeing connected to effectively communicate the opportunity, provide support, and enable youth to succeed? How are steps of course identification, student enrollment, faculty engagement, and quality monitoring modified from what occurs in standard campus-based college courses to make this successful? With the right set of collaborative partnerships, the culture, expectations, and systems put in place by adults enable youth to become exposed to new opportunities, new thinking, and a new sense of purpose and potential.
