The use of drug treatment courts has grown significantly over the last several decades. Little research has focused on the perceptions of program participants about what works or what does not within these programs. The current research examines perceptions of one drug treatment court from the viewpoint of successful graduates and current participants. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews that assessed perceptions of what makes the drug treatment court effective, as well as areas that may be improved. Research participants were drawn from a group of individuals who graduated from or were currently participating in a federal drug treatment program.
