Delivering a multi-site RCT in linking re-entry to local resources.

• In Event: ’Reducing Recidivism with a Customized Resources Phone 'App': Findings from a Randomized Controlled Trial’’

Abstract

From a face-to-face planning meeting with community corrections staff to the extraction and analysis of all relevant data, the project director prioritized treatment as intended by random assignment. This paper describes the hurdles and outcomes of treatment as assigned, as well as clear reductions (for treatment as delivered) in reincarceration of re-entering offenders who received the app compared to those who did not. The paper also summarizes the work of Sara Valdebenito in assessing differences in the Kentucky Crime Harm Index scores of the various treatment group subsets vs. the controls never offered the app.
